Today’s the day! Join us for the world premiere of Magic Shadows, Elwy Yost: A Life in Movies TONIGHT at 8 pm ET on TVO.
While this project has taken longer than expected due to the pandemic, we’re so thrilled to finally be sharing it with you. This film draws on the rich archive of interviews that Elwy conducted throughout his long career—I’m sure you’ll be surprised how many you remember. You’ll also have the opportunity to hear from those who knew him best including long-time producer Risa Shuman, The Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, filmmaker Ron Mann, his sons Graham Yost and Christopher Yost, and more. And the stars: Mike Myers, Henry Fonda, Janet Leigh, John Candy, Kirk Douglas, Martin Short, Mel Brooks wearing a Raptors hat; iconic directors such as John Huston, Norman Jewison, and Otto Preminger among others.
It’s an extremely special and moving walk down memory lane. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one.
